What is the difference between the 2 hour and 3 hour session?

The difference is just the hour. 2 hour sessions are for customers who already have a clear idea of what they want to do with their shoes, and is also a simple design. The 3 hour session is recommended to most customers who are unsure and inexperienced. Most customers take about 2-3 hours to finish a pair of shoes.

 

If I am unable to finish my work, can I request for an extension?

Yes, you can! There will be an additional charge of $5 per person per 30 minutes of extension. However, only if the next session is not fully booked. In the instance where you are unable to finish and the next session is fully booked, you will be allowed to bring home your paint to finish up!

I am unable to make the session that I booked, am I able to reschedule?

Yes, you may reschedule your booking via IG DM @artistra.studio or via email at hello@artistra.org. Rescheduling is allowed once only. Rescheduling must also be done at least 72 hours before your session. Rescheduling within 72 hours will result in a $35 charge per person.

I am unable to make the session that I booked, am I able to cancel for a full refund?

Cancellation of appointments must be done within 72 hours from the time of booking. If you wish to cancel your appointment thereafter, cancellation fees may apply.

I am running late for my session, will there be any penalty?

There will be no penalty! However, the countdown timer on your table will start at the time of your session, regardless of when you arrive.

Can I bring my own food to the studio during my session?

So sorry! No outside food is allowed. Drinks are allowed and must be disposed of outside our studio by the end of your session. Cleaning fees may apply.

 

I can’t draw, will I be unsuitable to sign up for a session?

Don’t worry! Our friendly staff will be there to provide guidance throughout your session! Stencils will also be provided, so drawing skills are not required.

Am I able to host a private session in the studio?

With a minimum of 15 pax, our corporate rate is taken up which includes a private session in our studio.

 

How long do corporate sessions run for?

Corporate sessions run for a standard of 3 hours. Extensions allowed upon request.

 

Do you allow f&b for private sessions?

Light snacks, finger foods, bento style catering are allowed for corporate sessions. F&b must be consumed during the session and disposed of outside our studio by the end of the session. A Cleaning fee of $80 is applicable. 

 

Do you host offsite events?

Yes. We require a minimum of 25 pax for offsite events, and a minimum of 35 pax to waive the one-time offsite fee.

 

What do you require for offsite events?

We will only require an arrangement of enough tables and chairs to accommodate your headcount. 

 

Does your studio provide offsite venues?

We do not provide offsite venues. However, we’re able to recommend venue rental places based on past experiences. 

 

How long in advance do I have to book for an event?

If a time & date is confirmed, we recommend proceeding with a soft booking as slots for corporate sessions get filled up quickly. Soft bookings will be held for 5-7 working days. Within this time we will require a 50% down payment or an PO to serve as confirmation. The balance payment will be adjusted accordingly and paid after the event.

Are you listed on GeBIZ?

Yes! We are listed as ‘The Artistra’ on GeBIZ.

Do you accept e-invoicing?

Yes, we accept e-invoicing with a minimum of 15 pax. Credit term 30 days. Purchase order required. 

 

OUR PAINTS

 

What type of paints do you use?

We use premium acrylic-based leather paint. The paints are water-proof, non-toxic, scentless, long-lasting, and non-cracking. You may even lightly wash your shoes.

 

Will I be able to wear my artwork out?

Yes! Your shoes will be ready for wearing by the end of your session. 

 

Are your paints waterproof?

Yes! You’ll be able to wear your shoes out in any weather condition. Tried and tested! 

 

How many paint colours do you provide?

We provide a wide array of 30 different colours that are mixable for countless custom colours. 

 

OUR SHOES

 

What are the available shoe sizes?

Standard sneakers range from EU 35-45

Premium sneakers range from EU 36-46

Kids shoes range from EU 28-34

 

Am I able to change shoe sizes on the day of my session?

Changing of sizes is allowed, subject to our stock availability. 

 

What brand of sneakers do you use?

Our sneakers are unbranded. Our sneakers are exclusively manufactured for our sneakers workshop. 

 

Do your sneaker sizes run big or small?

Our sneakers are true to size. Please refer to our size conversion chart for exact measurements.

 

How many types of sneaker designs do you have?

We currently only provide two types of sneaker designs. 

 

STENCIL RELATED

 

How many stencils can I choose?

You can choose one stencil design per person from our stencil list. If more than one stencil is chosen, only the first inputs will be provided. We have a stencil add-on option at $3 per design. 

 

Am I able to choose stencil designs that are not from the catalog?

Yes, you may look for your own custom stencils to submit! However, do note that the final stencil may not turn out exactly the same as the original image. We will edit custom stencils by removing certain details in order for customers to have an easier and more seamless experience with stencils! Do refer to our stencil guidelines for more information.

 

Are there any extra charges for custom stencils? 

Yes, Custom stencils require an additional fee of $3. However, they will be subject to approval (please refer to our custom stencil guidelines).

 

How do I look for custom stencils?

The easiest way to look for custom stencils is to Google the designs you want with the word “stencil”, “colouring”, or “drawing” at the back. For example, Rose stencil/colouring/drawing.

 

Are you able to create custom stencils?

Unfortunately, we do not create stencil designs from scratch. 

 

Am I able to have more stencils cut during my session?

Stencils are all made to order and not prepared in our studio. We will not have extra stencils available. 

 

How will my stencil be sized?

Normal sized stencils will be resized to fit the middle portion, or side-back portion of the shoe, with some overlapping of areas depending on the images length to height ratio. Larger images will be resized into larger stencils. Feel free to provide specific dimensions for your stencils (if any).

 

Am I able to choose stencils on the day of my session for a surprise?

While we do allow choosing of stencils on the day for a surprise. Do note we only hold about 50% of our catalogue in our studio. These are from past customers that did not use their stencils. We also size stencils based on shoe sizes. As such, we recommend to choose something from our catalogue first, and change on the day of your session if needed.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing! All materials including sneakers will be provided. 

 

Is your studio wheelchair accessible? 

Yes, our studio is accessible via elevator. Wheelchairs are also allowed in our studio. 

 

Do you provide birthday party packages?

 Yes! Please reach out to us at Hello@artistra.org to find out more. 

 

Do you provide e-gift cards?

Yes! To purchase an e-gift card, you may proceed to our website to do a booking for any random slots that are available - choose the package and number of pax you want. This will be for payment purposes only. The slots booked will be voided on our end after. Once done, you will be provided with an e-gift card with a special code for your receiver. They will be able to book their desired slot on our website with the code.
